Refund & Cancellation
Last Updated: September 1, 2026
Thank you for choosing Kapil Bhandari for your digital marketing, SEO, advertising, WordPress, website, content writing, and related services.
This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations and refunds are handled for services purchased from me.
My goal is to keep the process simple, transparent, and fair for both the client and me.
1. Service Fees and Third-Party Costs
The price quoted for my services generally covers my professional service, time, work, and deliverables.
Unless specifically mentioned in a quotation or proposal, the following costs are not included in my service pricing:
- Domain registration
- Web hosting
- Premium WordPress themes
- Premium plugins
- Paid software or tools
- Stock images, videos, or other paid content
- Google Ads or Meta Ads advertising budget
- Third-party subscriptions
- Other third-party services or products required for a project
For example, if the quotation is:
₹XXXX + Domain & Hosting
Then ₹XXXX represents my service fee, while the domain and hosting are separate costs.
Where possible, clients may purchase domain, hosting, or other third-party services directly from the relevant trusted provider.
If I purchase any third-party product or service on behalf of a client, the actual amount paid to that third party is generally non-refundable, because those charges are outside my professional service fee and may be subject to the third party's own refund policy.
2. Cancellation Before the Service Starts
If you decide that you do not want to continue with the project before I have started work on the service, you may request cancellation.
In such a case, the amount paid towards my service fee will be eligible for a 100% refund.
Any amount already paid to a third party on your behalf, such as domain registration, hosting, premium software, plugins, themes, advertising platforms, or other third-party products/services, will not be included in this refund.
The purpose of this policy is to give clients a reasonable opportunity to change their decision before professional work has started.
3. Cancellation After the Service Has Started
Once work on your project has started, the service fee is no longer automatically eligible for a full refund.
If you decide to cancel after work has started, I may calculate the amount already earned based on the work completed up to the cancellation date.
The refundable amount will generally be calculated as:
Amount Paid – Value of Work Completed – Applicable Non-Refundable Third-Party Costs = Refund Amount
The value of completed work may include, where applicable:
- Research and planning
- SEO research and analysis
- Keyword research
- Website audits
- Content research or writing
- Website design or development work
- WordPress setup or configuration
- Advertising campaign setup
- Google Ads or Meta Ads campaign work
- Account or campaign configuration
- Technical implementation
- Strategy development
- Revisions already completed
- Completed deliverables
- Other project-related work already performed
The amount deducted will depend on the actual work completed rather than simply the amount of time that has passed.
4. Example of a Refund Calculation
For example, suppose your service fee is ₹20,000.
You cancel the project before work begins:
₹20,000 paid → ₹20,000 refundable
If you cancel after work has started and work worth ₹7,000 has already been completed:
₹20,000 – ₹7,000 = ₹13,000 refundable
If ₹3,000 was separately spent on a domain, hosting, premium plugin, or another third-party service on your behalf:
₹20,000 – ₹7,000 = ₹13,000 service-fee refund
The ₹3,000 third-party cost would be handled separately and would not automatically become refundable merely because you cancelled my service.
These examples are provided only to explain how the calculation works. The actual refund will depend on the work completed and the actual third-party costs applicable to your project.
5. Domain and Hosting
Domain registration and web hosting are separate from my professional service fee unless expressly stated otherwise in your quotation.
Clients are generally responsible for purchasing and maintaining their own domain and hosting through a suitable provider.
For example:
Service Fee: ₹XXXX
Domain & Hosting: Purchased separately by Client
Domain and hosting prices are determined by the respective provider and may vary depending on the provider, plan, duration, domain extension, taxes, and other factors.
Once a domain or hosting service has been purchased, refunds will be subject to the relevant provider's own refund and cancellation policy.
I do not guarantee that a third-party domain or hosting provider will issue a refund.
If I purchase domain, hosting, or another third-party service on your behalf, the actual amount paid to that third party will generally be treated as a non-refundable third-party expense, except where the relevant provider refunds that amount and the refund is received by me.
6. Advertising Budget
For Google Ads, Meta Ads, or other paid advertising services, my professional service fee and the advertising budget are separate.
For example:
Advertising Management Fee: ₹XXXX
Advertising Budget: ₹XXXXX
The advertising budget is paid to or used by the relevant advertising platform and is not my professional service fee.
Any unused advertising balance, refunds, credits, or adjustments relating to an advertising platform will be subject to that platform's own policies and account arrangements.
I am not responsible for refunds that are denied by Google, Meta, or another advertising platform.
7. Third-Party Products and Services
Projects may require third-party products or services, including:
- Domains
- Hosting
- Premium plugins
- Premium themes
- Software subscriptions
- APIs
- Stock media
- Email services
- Advertising platforms
- Other external tools or services
These products and services are controlled by their respective providers.
Their pricing, availability, cancellation, refund, renewal, and usage policies may be different from my policies.
I am not responsible for a third party's refusal to provide a refund, service interruption, price increase, account suspension, or other action taken under that third party's policies.
8. How to Request a Cancellation
To request cancellation, please contact me at:
Your cancellation request should include:
- Your name
- Project/service name
- Date of purchase or commencement, if available
- Reason for cancellation, if you wish to provide one
I will review the request and determine the applicable refund based on the stage of the project, work completed, and any applicable third-party costs.
Submitting a cancellation request does not automatically guarantee a refund.
9. Refund Processing
Once a refund has been approved, I will initiate the refund using the original payment method where reasonably possible.
The time required for the refunded amount to appear in your account may depend on the payment provider, bank, card issuer, or other financial institution.
Any applicable transaction charges, payment-gateway charges, or other unavoidable costs may be handled in accordance with applicable law and the terms communicated at the time of payment.
I will not intentionally delay an approved refund.
10. Client-Requested Changes or Delays
A project may sometimes be delayed because the client has not provided required information, content, access, approvals, credentials, feedback, or other materials necessary to continue the work.
In such circumstances, the project timeline may be paused until the required information or approval is received.
Work that has already been completed before such a delay may still be considered completed work for the purpose of calculating any subsequent cancellation or refund.
11. Completed Deliverables and Work
If a client cancels after one or more deliverables have been completed or substantially completed, the value of that completed work may be deducted from any eligible refund.
This can include, depending on the project:
- Written content
- SEO research
- SEO reports
- Website pages
- WordPress work
- Website setup
- Advertising campaigns
- Campaign strategy
- Keyword research
- Designs
- Technical configuration
- Other agreed deliverables
The purpose of this provision is to ensure that work already performed is fairly accounted for when calculating a refund.
12. Non-Refundable Situations
To the extent permitted by applicable law, amounts may not be refundable where:
- The relevant service has already been fully completed
- The amount relates to a third-party product or service that has already been purchased
- The amount relates to advertising spend already used by an advertising platform
- The client has already received and accepted the relevant completed deliverable
- A third-party provider has charged a non-refundable amount
- The refund is otherwise excluded under the terms agreed for a specific project
Nothing in this section is intended to remove any mandatory consumer rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
13. No Guaranteed Marketing Results
Digital marketing services such as SEO, Google Ads, Meta Ads, content marketing, and website optimisation depend on many factors outside my direct control.
Therefore, unless expressly agreed in writing, I do not guarantee:
- A specific Google ranking
- A specific number of leads
- A specific number of sales
- A specific advertising return on investment
- A specific amount of website traffic
- Approval of an advertising account
- Continued availability of third-party platforms
- A specific business result within a particular period
This section relates to expectations regarding marketing results and does not change the cancellation and refund rights described above.
14. Policy Changes
I may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time to reflect changes in my services, business practices, payment methods, or applicable legal requirements.
The updated version will be published on this page with a revised Last Updated date.
The policy applicable to a particular purchase will generally be the policy communicated or agreed at the time of that purchase, subject to applicable law.
